Venue: Rayson Huang Theatre, University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Date: Sep 4-7 2025
Introduction:
New developments in the related field of fractional Chern Insulator, have transcended the established paradigm of the state of matter based on Landau’s symmetry-breaking theory and offer the opportunities to study phenomena, such as anyons and non-abelian fractional statistics. This "Croucher Advanced Study Institute" (Croucher ASI) program will offer a comprehensive picture on the frontier research in this area from the aspects of theory, numerics and experiments, on this fast-developing field. We will have 6 scientists as the lecturers of the ASI and each lecturer will give two hours of lectures on the latest development of the field. The committee members and organisers will organise group discussions during the program. The invited ASI participants must also be of sufficient calibre to contribute at a high level (postdocs or above), and students who are interested in this institute are also welcome without registrations. The interactions during the ASI, among everyone participating, are strongly encouraged.
Announcement: program to be announced later.
